Pedicures have been found, in numerous circles, to be helpful. Try to use a foot bath and soak your feet. Try to soak your feet in the bath for roughly three minutes. It is also a great idea to put in things like bath salts, skin softeners or skin soothers to the water. This helps the bath be more relaxing and truly pampers your feet and helps them to feel good. Foot soaking crystals are sold in just about any bath and body section of any department store in the country. Some of the products are more expensive than others but pick the one you like the best.
Use a pumice stone to polish off any rough patches and remove any calluses that may still remain after your foot bath. Don’t use callus shavers or something similar. Good old pumice stones are perfectly fine.
Wash your feet after you are done using the pumice stone. When you have washed off the dust from the pumice stone and your calluses and any foot soak-ness that is still there, apply some moisturizing lotion. You can see dozens of different types of moisturizing lotions produced specifically for the feet. It is okay to merely rub in the lotion rapidly if you are in a hurry, but try not to settle for this. If you’ve got the time, try massaging it in. Massage helps settle down your feet and, by extension, your whole body.
Once your feet are clean, without calluses and moisturized, it is time to prep them to be pretty. This is really not an essential step, but knowing that your toes are nice looking can help you feel better about the rest of you, even if you keep your feet closed into shoes throughout the day. Cuticle pushers are the best option for pushing back your cuticles (trimmers can cause many injuries and infections). Put on a coat of nail strengthening polish. And once that has dried, you can use whatever color of nail polish you prefer.
DIY pedicures can be done pretty quickly and are ordinarily more affordable than those that you would get professionally. They’re good for your entire body so get to work!
