Broken Hearts

As I became aware that my marriage was disintegrating a vicious fight prompted me to make this quilt. My heart was broken, I was barely functioning but I worked continuously on this piece for about one week from start to finish. I left one heart undamaged because at that time there was still hope.

This piece is machine pieced using 100% cotton fabric, most of which is hand-dyed by myself. The piece is machine quilted with metallic thread.
